Review: Betrayer (PC)

When information and images began springing up for Betrayer, its monochrome style caught the eye of many. When word broke that Blackpowder Games, who were largely made up of former Monolith developers, this reviewer became interested more. Their work on the original FEAR & Condemned created some of the eeriest moments in games of there type back then.With Monolith now continuing under Nintendo's wing, can this group of developers from that studio continue the tradition of eerie & atmospheric FPS games under a new moniker? News: New Persona Q Trailer shows Persona switching



In the Persona series only someone with the power of the Wild Card can switch Persona's, which was unique to the protagonists in previous instalments. In Persona Q however, everyone can use other Personas.

Review: Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Complete Edition (Ps4)

With the Ps4 not seeing a release until February this year in Japan, it was always going to be the case that eastern developed titles would take some time to arrive on Sonys latest machine. Thankfully, Tecmo Koei decided to bring their Complete Editions for both the Ps4 & Vita versions of Dynasty Warriors 8 to the west to coincide with the Ps3 launch of Xtreme Legends. I'm guessing the most obvious question on most people minds is whether the extra content & technical polish afforded on Ps4 is worth the extra cost. Lets take a look...

News: Hyperdimension Neptunia V-II Teaser



While the Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II trailer doesn’t show any gameplay, it gives us a few clues with lines such as “Zero Platform,” “Mega Dimension,” “recover the goddess who has been forcefully forgotten,” “the modification of Gamindustri,” “the four people of the Gold Third,” and “the last goddess.” while having numerous pieces of artwork flashing across the teaser at numerous intervals.

News: Inazuma Eleven heading to EU

Inazuma Eleven Go: Light and Inazuma Eleven Go: Shadow take place a decade after Inazuma Eleven and are bothe making their way to th EU. Arion Sherwind is the protagonist this time around and has a new group of teammates. No word on a North American release at all as of yet, but with the US only just getting the first game,  theres still two more games to play through as Mark Evans before this fourth release is reached in the overall arc. Nintendo UK announced over Twitter that Inazuma Eleven Go: Light & Inazuma Eleven Go: Shadow will be released in the EU on June 13th

News: Evil Within Trailer



Evil Within (known in Japan as Psychobreak), being developed by Japanese studio Tango Gameworks, is a title that seems to gathering much momentum, and why not with Shinji Mikami steering the ship. Bethesda have decided to laucnch a trailer for the game just in time for PAX, where the game is reputed to be having live gameplay sessions. For now, enjoy the trailer as the game is still set to ship on August 26th in the US &   August 29th in the EU

Review: Goat Simulator (PC)

When it comes to the indie sector of the games industry, quirky ideas tend to manifest on a regular basis. Recently, the release of Goat Simulator made for quite an oddity. Reputed to have been a 'Joke' release by Coffee Stain Studios, more of a tech prototype used by the developers, that saw release due to interest on social media and quickly repackaged as a game. So who's the joke on really? Lets find out!

The excellent title, Hotline Miami is getting a well deserved sequel later this year and today Devolver Digital has released a new trailer for Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number!

News: Persona 3 Movie #1 set for NA



Not too long from now, on May 20th, we will see the release of the English version of Persona 3 the Movie #1: Spring of Birth. Aniplex have released an English trailer for the movie, who are set to be publishing the film in the US, and have also confirmed a collector’s edition release. It must be noted however that there is no English dub for the movie at all, instead we will be treated to a subbed presentation.

News: Tenchu returns as a stage play!


It’s been some time since we've seen a Tenchu game, The last Tenchu released was back in 2008 - Tenchu: Shadow Assassins on the Wii and PSP. It seems the series isn’t completely dead afterall as Inside Games  reports that From Software have announced a Tenchu stage play this last week.

News: Touch Detective 3: Rising Teaser


Its taken quite a while, about seven years, but a sequel to Touch Detective 2 1/2 is finally set to be released for the 3DS. Touch Detective 3 Rising renders Mackenzie and Funghi in 3D, which is a first for the series. With Funghi becoming a popular mascot character of sorts, it allowed Beeworks to create plenty of Touch Detective merchandise and cash in on the buzz which no doubt helped fund the latest entry. Touch Detective Rising 3 due on May 1st in Japan, with no word on a localisation yet. With Atlus bringing over previous entries, maybe the latest will see the same treatment?

News: Sword Art Online cutscene Trailer



Bandai Namco have decided to share with everyone a new trailer for Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment as its release in Japan slowly approaches this month (April 24th) The trailer mainly seems to focus on cinematic cutscenes, so those looking for more gameplay footage may be disappointed. With the Asian release receiving English subtitles, a localisation may hopefully be on the cards at a later date

News: Firefly's Dairy Trailer



htoL#NiQ or Firefly’s Diary is a project from Nippon Ichi Software that seems to be gaining interest and momentum. Firefly’s Diary looks more like a production from an indie studio, even though the lead team is from the Disgaea series,  instead of the usual Strategy RPG's the publisher is known for. The trailer details aspects of the games story you can find detailed a little below -

News: Latest Neptunia spin-off Trailer


Its been a while since Sting have been able to put out a SRPG, working on visuals novels for the Date A Live series recently,  which is why this Hyperdimension Neptunia release seems to be getting quite the coverage. With the pedigree of Yggdra Union in their locker, theres much potential here for a decent spin-off. Check out this latest 5 minute long trailer, full of special attacks, gameplay footage and quirky moments like Neptune trying to gatecrash the trailer a mere few seconds in. Planet Destroyer Black Heart is due for release on PSVita on May 29 in Japan. A localisation is yet to be announced, but the series seems on a roll of late with localisations so expect some news on one closer to release.

News: Zenonia set to go Online


During the recent GDC, game publisher Gamevil revealed that its critically acclaimed mobile RPG Zenonia series will be getting a brand new entry in the form of Zenonia Online, as the publisher revealed the game will feature “full multiplayer online features”.
