Sony have annouced that the PS4 will drop in price from 39,980 yen to 34,980 yen starting from October 1st.
Even though the PS4 is selling like hot cakes everywhere else in the world, it is struggling in its home territory so hopefully this price decrease will give gamers that little nudge to adopt the current gen system.
No price drop has been confirmed for the rest of the world.
