News: Onigiri to be released on Ps4 in the west?

The Free-to-Play title Onigiri is set to release on Ps4 in the west.
The title has recently started an English closed beta on PC. The PlayStation 4 version is already live in Japan and has been since the launch of the console in February, CyberStep will release the English version that's being worked on PC onto PS4 too it seems. An English localised demo for Onigiri was one of the titles on display inside Sony Computer Entertainment’s E3 booth. The shot below was snapped by Siliconera

  1. Anybody know if the game is any good? All I've read is complaints about the graphics.

  2. I've tried the Japanese version on Ps4 & it's not bad. It's not great either tho lol The graphics are average to be honest but Cyberstep are hardly rolling in the money to make a fully featured engine. Its free to play so it might be worth a try when it makes it to PSN stores in the west to see if it clicks or not

  4. It's only for the Ps4. You never know what they'll announce further down the line, but there's no word on a Vita version or even a Ps3 port either.

Should've did a ps3 version. I bet it would've done better in Japan.(Plus it would add another title that's pretty decent to play too)

  6. It is a little surprising a Ps3 port hasn't happened. Playing the Japanese release on ps4, it looks as tho it would be simple enough to port over. F2P has been growing steadily on Ps3 these past couple of years too so the market is there for them to expand in to, but its doubtful they'll do it =/
