An upcoming update for One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X will be adding amiibo support.
Bandai Namco has announced that the update will arrive sometime during this winter (within the next couple of months) that will add amiibo support to the game. The amiibo's will allow the player to unlock costumes for characters, as the screenshots show Luffy as Mario, Zoro as Link etc with more costumes to follow. One Piece: Super Grand Battle! X is out now in Japan, and a demo for the game is also available, but there is still no word from Bandai Namco regarding a possible localisation yet.
