Feature: New Indie Releases for 09/09/15
Hello fellow readers. This is the beginning of a new weekly feature that will list new Indie releases across all platforms. I have even put together a playlist of all the trailers for the games out this week.
Many Indie games are released each week and there is that many it is sometime very hard to keep track of them. To begin with I will keep track of the EU and USA updates but will add the Japanese market in the future.
So without further a do, here is this week's update;

Feature: The State of Play - Nintendo 3DS
This time on The State of Play I will be looking at the Nintendo 3DS. Compared to the Playstation Vita last time it has been far more successful but it has not been an easy road for the little clam shell.

The State of Play: Playstation Vita
This is the first of on ongoing series which will discuss the state of certain aspects of the gaming world. For the first one I decided to discuss an item which is very close to my heart - the Playstation Vita. A device that may have been doomed from the start and is even classed as a Legacy device by its manufacturer.

Feature: E3 2015 - Is Your Body Ready?
It's that time of year again; Twitter is going mad, there are more leaks than an old fishing boat & the late nights begin. Yes, it is E3 2015 - the one time of year when all developers gather together to show of to the world what to expect in the next 12 months or so.
For gamers it is a very exciting time and it is very comparable to christmas. We all have hopes and dreams of what is to come but the majority of the time you may be left dissopointed with what you were given.

Feature: Playstation TV Impressions
Good Things Come in Small Packages
The Playstation TV, Sony's micro-console offspring of the PSVita, seems as though its not sure what it wants to be when reading the impressions of other outlets. Announced back in September of 2013 as Vita TV for the Japanese market, fans were quick to take to social media and demand information on a release for the west. Well, that release came last year as the Vita TV was re-branded to Playstation TV. Its safe to say most of those clamoring for a release in the west haven't picked one up since launch. Is the lack of a Netflix app really that much of a buzz kill for the Playstation TV? Lets find out from someone not interested in that 'TV' aspect..

Feature: Guilty Gear Xrd Sign - Story Mode Analysis
Guilty Gear Xrd Sign – Story Mode Analysis
Calling this article an "analysis" might be the wrong choice of word. But rather, Guilty Gear Xrd Sign’s Story Mode, being good as it is, made me think it might be worthwhile to discuss a few things I noticed while I was watching (rather than playing, since as mentioned in my main review there are no fights or battles at all. It’s more an OVA or a Visual Novel) that I found interesting, particularly in the context of how stories in fighting games work and other general dos and don’ts of writing fiction in general. Suffice to say, where BlazBlue: Chronophantasma falls down, Guilty Gear Xrd Sign rises above. But anyway, without further a-do, let’s dive in.
Be warned that there are SPOILERS in this article, starting with the second section, “Chekov’s Gunflame”. You have been warned, and, as always, what follows is just my opinions and they are not reflective of OtakuGamers UK staff members or the site as a whole.
So, let's do this.

Feature: Geoff's 2014 List
2014. The year of the re-releases apparently. I don't think its been that bad to be honest. The WiiU had a strong year, there's been a lot to play on the new consoles (Ps4 passing 18 million in just over a year puts those 'Consoles are dying' stories from the previous year to bed), Nintendo announced yet another 3DS model, PSTV seen a release in the west that everyone called for but no one bought in to, #GamerGate exploded (It was going to happen at some point with the state of the mainstream press), the likes of IFI/NISa/Marvelous etc really stepped up their game and brought us plenty to play and we've had a decent year ourselves here as views have increased and more publishers work with us. Highlight of the year was finally taking the plunge and purchasing a moped though as it inspires an air of mobility freedom, its cheap to run so more money elsewhere and people serenading Grease 2's "Who's That Guy?" to me as I ride past never gets old. 2015 is looking like its going to be even better for games going forward, as multiple Japanese studios shift their focus to Playstation 4 and the usual suspects here in the west up their localisation drive to bring us more nich goodies. So lets see what I enjoyed last year..

Feature: Des' 2014 List
![]() |
Happy New Year Folks |
Honestly, this year has been a little strange one for me as gaming has not grabbed me as much as previous years. This is due to me personally having a very busy year. Heck, I got married! Due to this I have been rather picky with what I have played and if I was to choose my best game of the year by the number of hours played, Minecraft would take the title - I have put an unhealthy amount of time into that game!

Feature: PSN January Sale Part 1
I know we are a little late to the party but whilst looking through the current PSN January Sale I noticed that there is a lot of offerings in the Niche Department on the PS Vita.
Because we are nice here at Otaku Gamers we decided to give a nice little list with their respectable review score next to them.
Remember this is Part 1 of the sale. Part 2 begins on the 8th January, so if any other titles are added this post will be updated.

PSA: A Year of Taking One Step at a Time
A message from the Founder
The 7th of September was on Sunday. Why is that of any importance? Well that's the date when I opened the doors on this quiet corner of the internet for niche games last year.

Feature: Interview with ThePatrick! Ryu Ga Gotoku Kenzan!
Recently we have been looking at further ways to expand our original writing, during our campaign for Yakuza 5 I had the idea of trying to ask some questions for prominent members of the Yakuza western community for fans and newcomers alike.
First off here is an interview conducted with Patrick Coffman, more known as The Patrick. Known for his Yakuza guides including the outstanding Kenzan! guide which I myself have used and personally swear by! you can find it HERE!.
