Another chance at Nostalgia
The 20th Anniversary Playstation 4 consoles may be all gone except on eBay at crazy prices and none in my hands, but now Sony are giving us another chance to get our nostalgia fix in the form of a new DualShock 4 controller and accompanying headset.
Originally announced back in June, the controllers are now available to pre-order in the US at Amazon for $69.99 with a release date of September 30th (subject to change) making their release come 20 years to the month after the original PS1 release in the UK and US. The headset was a bit more of a surprised with a proposed pricing of $99.99
Both have a nice grey look to them with the controller featuring the original Playstation icon on the home button. Sadly the buttons setup on the touchpad that was featured on the Special Edition 20th Anniversary console's controllers but it is better to have it than not. The headset is bulky and features the logo on the side of both earpieces. Though for the price the sound quality better be high!
No word as yet on if they will be coming to Europe or if there will be Limited numbers, but if you want to get this I imagine you will be pre-ordering as soon as you can.
